Sounds obvious but - have you tried going to: In the frame where your filename usually appears do you have the bottom Sort By set to Filename? You might have to click the little eye icon at the top right of the frame to show the option. Is Edit View your default workspace view?

Probably hit some CTRL plus some key by accident. I'm sure I must have accidentally reset something to not show file names. I shut down my whole computer and restarted.
